Manville Local Who Smashed Windshield, 4 Car Windows Is Arrested

The Manville VFW also reported an attempted burglary last week, according to the police blotter.

MANVILLE, NJ — A Manville local was arrested and charged with criminal mischief after damaging a borough car, police report.

On Nov. 9 at 6:39 a.m., patrols responded to the area of Knopf Street on the report of criminal mischief where they saw that all four side windows and the front windshield of a car were smashed, Manville Police report.

The owner reported last seeing the vehicle at 2 a.m. The estimated damage is approximately $1,000, police report.

During an investigation, detectives arrest Conyel Barrantes-Gamboa, 35. She was transported to police headquarters where she was processed, charged with criminal mischief and released, police report.

On Nov 6 at 8:03 p.m.: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Police Department reported recovering a stolen motor vehicle which was taken from Adesa. The vehicle was a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am. The vehicle was cleared from NCIC.

On Nov. 8 at 1:14 p.m.: During an investigation, patrols subsequently arrest Kendal Cuffie, 30, on an active Manville warrant. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and transported to the Somerset County Jail in default of bail.

On Nov. 10 at 1:01 a.m.: As a result of a motor vehicle crash, patrols subsequently arrest Elaina Decker, 25, of Mount Laurel for driving while intoxicated. She was transported to police headquarters where she was processed, charged and released.

On Nov. 10 at 11:06 p.m.: A resident of Manville reports that her purse was stolen from a shopping cart in the Walmart parking lot. The purse was black leather with multiple compartments valued at $79. The purse contained $100 in cash, several credit cards, gift cards and a New Jersey driver's license. Investigation to continue.

On Nov. 12 at 4:33 a.m.: Patrols respond to Walmart on the report of a shoplifting. Patrols subsequently arrest Paul Richard, 33, of Somerville for shoplifting. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed, charged and released.

On Nov. 12 at 6:35 a.m.: East Brunswick Police Department reports having Gabrielle Smith of Somerset under arrest for an outstanding Manville warrant. She was processed and released.

On Nov. 12 at 7:49 a.m.: Patrols and detectives respond to the VFW on an attempted burglary call. Investigation to continue.
