Manville Man Arrested For Marijuana Following Crash

Reports of fraud, assault, theft and warrant arrests were also made last week in Manville, police report.

MANVILLE, NJ — A Manville man was arrested for marjuana possession following a car crash in the borough, police report.

On Oct. 4 at 12:23 a.m., patrols respond to a motor vehicle crash and during the investigation the driver, Brayan Gastelo, 20, of Manville was found in possession of marijuana and controlled dangerous substance(CDS) paraphernalia, police report.

He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed, charged and released.

On Oct. 3 at 12:29 a.m.: Bernards Police Department reports they have under arrest Kendel Cuffie of Manville for an outstanding warrant. He was transported and lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

On Oct. 3 at 1:19 a.m.: As a result of a motor vehicle stop, patrols locate a reported missing person from Florida. The subject was removed from NCIC as missing and transported to Robert Wood Johnson Somerville for evaluation.

On Oct. 3 at 11:41 a.m.: A Manville resident reports a possible mail fraud. He received a check in the mail and would like to make the incident a matter of record.

On Oct. 3 at 11:46 a.m.: Travis Vonbischoffshausen, 19, of Manville was placed under arrest for an active warrant out of South Brunswick and an active warrant out of North Brunswick. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released to the South Brunswick Police Department.

On Oct. 4 at 12:44 p.m.: A Manville resident reports receiving what he believes is a fraudulent lottery notification saying that he won $5,000. The victim believes there are deceptive business practices taking place. Investigation to continue.

On Oct. 6 at 10:18 p.m.: Dylan Panatero, 25, of Manville was charged with theft of a bicycle. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed, charged and released.

On Oct. 7 at 8:06 a.m.: Rosemary Burnett of Manville arrived in headquarters to post bail on an outstanding warrant out of Piscataway. She was processed and released.

On Oct. 7 at 2:56 p.m.: A 39-year-old Manville resident was placed under arrest for assault and resisting arrest. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed, charged and transported to Robert Wood Johnson Somerset.

On Oct. 7 at 11:58 p.m.: A Somerville resident reports she lost her black iPhone 7 with a giraffe kook case while shopping at WalMart. Estimated value $800. Reported as a matter of record.

On Oct. 8 at 8:12 p.m.: Mohamed Eldawi, 31, of New York, New York responds to police headquarters to post bail on an outstanding warrant from Piscataway. He was processed and released.
