Manville Man Sexually Assaults Girl, 12, While In Raritan: Police

Cornelio Felipe-Lopez, 22, was charged with 1st-degree aggravated sexual assault and 3rd-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

MANVILLE, NJ — A Manville man was arrested for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl three times in 2017 while in Raritan, Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson announced.

Cornelio Felipe-Lopez, 22, was arrested on Thursday at his North 4th Avenue home. He was charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

On April 27, a 12-year old girl told detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes/Child Abuse Unit that she had been sexually assaulted on three occasions in 2017, by Felipe-Lopez while living in Raritan.

Felipe-Lopez was lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
