PROPERTY TAX GRACE PERIOD EXTENSION

On Tuesday April 28, 2020 Governor Murphy signed his second COVID-related order concerning property taxes, this time permitting municipalities to extend the grace period for property tax payments, currently due on May 10th, to June 1st.

That means penalties and back-interest would NOT be assessed so long as payments are received before June 1st. Payments after June 1st would still be assessed fees and interest back to the original due date of May 1st, 2020.The Manville Borough Council approved the resolution in accordance with the Executive Order at a special public meeting held on May 4, 2020.
