Tools, Purse Stolen From 2 Manville Vehicles
Two Manville residents reported the theft of items such as a purse, tools and lawn equipment from their vehicles parked in the borough.

MANVILLE, NJ — Two Manville residents reported the theft of items such as a purse, tools and lawn equipment from their vehicles parked in the borough.
Manville Police Blotter:
On Dec. 4 at 5:27 p.m.: Patrols respond to the area of Huff Avenue and subsequently arrest a Manville resident for a temporary restraining order violation after an investigation. The accused was processed and released.

On Dec. 5 at 8:33 a.m.: A resident of North 1st Avenue reports that on Nov. 20, an unknown actor(s) stole a weed whacker, chainsaw, backpack leaf blower and several tools from his pickup truck. The vehicle was parked in the roadway. Estimated value of items stolen is $2,650. Investigation to continue.
On Dec. 5 at 9:31 a.m.: Leidy Naterno of Piscataway paid the warrant for an outstanding traffic violation. She was processed and released.

On Dec. 5 at 3:23 p.m.: Michael Tacak, 31, of Manville responded to police headquarters and paid an outstanding Manville warrant. He was processed and released.
On Dec. 6 at 1:21 p.m.: Edward Iannacone, 53, of Manville was issued a borough ordinance summons for throwing a lit cigarette in the roadway on South Main Street/Dakota Street. He was processed and released at the scene.
On Dec. 7 at 1:49 p.m.: Patrols respond to the area of Onka Street on the report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. The resident reports an unknown actor entered her unlocked vehicle during the overnight hours and took her Coach purse which contained various credit cards. Investigation to continue.
On Dec. 7 at 5:05 p.m.: A resident of Lincoln Avenue reports a male with a Hindu accent contacted her by telephone (786-601-3028 and 347-549-4168) and attempted to have her send money for prescription medication through Western Union. She was advised it was a scam. No monetary loss was incurred.
On Dec. 7 at 8:08 p.m.: Patrols respond to the area of North 14th Avenue on the report of a theft. The resident reports a theft of $50 in cash and numerous gift cards from her wallet that occurred on Dec. 7. Investigation to continue.
On Dec. 8 at 4:59 p.m.: Patrols respond to the area of South 5th Avenue and Washington Avenue and subsequently arrest Brian Luszik, 50, of Manville for outstanding warrants following an investigation on South 4th Avenue. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and transported to the Somerset County Jail.
On Dec. 9 at 1:19 a.m.: Patrols respond to the area of South 6th Avenue and subsequently arrest a Manville resident for domestic violence/trespassing after an investigation. He was transported to the police headquarters where he was processed, charged and released.
