Unmarked Police Vehicle Burglarized, Badge Stolen

A Manville local was also charged for aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose in a separate incident.

MANVILLE, NJ — An unmarked police vehicle was burglarized while parked in Manville sometime last week.

Sometime between 2:30 and 4 p.m. on June 14 on Brooks Boulevard near North 8th Avenue an unknown individual entered the vehicle, police report.

Upon entering the vehicle the individual stole a wallet containing a Somerset County Prosecutor's Office Detective ID and badge, police report. Investigation to continue.

On June 12 at 5:03 p.m.: Patrols respond to Walmart for a theft report. A resident of Bound Brook reported $60 was stolen from her wallet while she was shopping at Walmart. Investigation to follow.

On June 13 at 3:16 p.m.: A resident of Pope Street reports receiving calls from the Internal Revenue Service with an out of state number indicating that they are coming to arrest her. Caller was advised it was a scam.

On June 13 at 10:28 p.m.: Following an assault investigation, Jared Razzano, 35, of Manville was arrested for aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose. He was lodged in Somerset County Jail.

On June 14 at 2:54 p.m.: Following a loose dog complaint, Cynthia M. Martinez-Nunez of Manville was issued with a summons for no dog license and dogs running at large. Animal control was notified and responded to the scene.

On June 17 at 3:44 a.m.: Following a domestic dispute, a Manville resident was lodged in the Somerset County Jail on an outstanding Plainfield warrant.
