De-leveling the System Documentary: Local Premiere

On November 15th, the documentary, "De-leveling the System", will premiere at the Maplewood Movie Theater at 7pm.

After two years of research, interviews, meetings, shooting and editing, my documentary, "De-leveling the System", is ready to make its debut. De-leveling the System is a documentary that largely focuses on the previous school year which turned out to be a pivitol year in determining what direction our school district is going. In addition to interviewing community members, teachers and administrators, I also followed four students and thier families throughout the course of the school year.

On November 15th, this documentary will premiere at the Maplewood Movie Theater at 7pm. Tickets are available online through this link-http://delevelingthesystem.eventbrite.com/ A portion of the ticket proceeds will be donated to the Columbia High School Scholarship Fund.

These past two years have been quite the journey, but it was one well worth taking. I have appreciated the positive and negative feedback from the community, as well as the cooperation from the students, parents, staff, administration, school board and the Superintendent. It is my sincere hope that this documentary will be used as a tool for inspiration and proof that the fight to improve public education for all is not a lost cause, and that together we can make a change.
