HarvestFest Continues With Great Events on Springfield Avenue

Churrasco BBQ and Steakhouse (1844 Springfield Avenue) will host a Fall Harvest Fest Jazz Night tonight, Tuesday October 23^rd from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (call 973-761-7744 for reservations). Featuring popular local jazz artists Jim Buchanan & Friends, the event continues a month-long series presented by the business owners on Maplewood’s Springfield Avenue as part of the October HarvestFest celebration.

HarvestFest on October 13^th, presented by Springfield Avenue Partnership and Walgreens, was a smashing success, with hundreds of children and families from Maplewood and beyond enjoying a sun-splashed day of music, entertainment, activities, great food and good times with friends both old and new.

Thursday, October 25^{th -} A "Paint a Pumpkin"  afterschool program  at Astah’s Fine Art Gallery (1897 Springfield Avenue ) for children ages 5 years - 9 years from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (cost is $5 per child).

Saturday, October 27^th - A Pre-Halloween Party at Zakiya’s Way Floral Designs (1921 Springfield Avenue) from 11:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. featuring games, fun, and prizes for best costume, candy and more. Contact Zakiya at 973-391-3419 for more information.

Saturday, October 27^th – Fall sessions and workshops on credit repair, presented by the experts at BCBL Credit Solutions (1837 Springfield Avenue) from 10:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. Contact BCBL at 973.327.2729.

Sunday, October 28^th – A “Halloween Tea Parteaz for Boys & Girls” presented by Parteaz ( 1860 Springfield Avenue) from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. A pizza dinner is included.  Wear your costume or one from the Parteaz collection. Make a spooky craft and dessert, play ghostly games and search in a caldron for a prize ($30 per child- sign up 2 or more $25 each). Sunday, October 28^th - “Pumpkin Painting” at Express Yourself Studios (1877 Springfield Avenue) from 11:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. The Studio will host its annual Pumpkin Painting with pumpkins and treats provided (while supplies last). Children of all ages are welcome to paint pumpkins, participate in face painting and enjoy treats. A participation fee of $10 is required.
