Car Left Running in Driveway Is Stolen, Recovered
A Madison Avenue resident left the car running to warm it up; a passerby took it for a ride to Irvington.

A Madison Avenue resident is perhaps a bit red-faced after leaving a car running and unattended in the driveway last Thursday morning. While the resident was inside the house waiting for the car to warm up, a passerby entered the car and fled with it to Irvington.
Police recovered the car — a Lincoln LS — after it was involved in a motor vehicle accident in Irvington. The thief fled on foot.
Also yesterday, a Kendall Avenue home was forcibly entered and a 52" flat screen television was taken from a second floor room — nothing more.
