In Maplewood: Filmmaker Ken Burns Will Speak About ‘Politics, Race, Culture’
Iconic filmmaker Ken Burns will be coming to Maplewood to speak about the interplay of politics, race and culture in U.S. history.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Iconic filmmaker Ken Burns will be coming to Essex County to speak about the interplay of politics, race and culture in United States history on Saturday, Dec. 9 at Columbia High School in Maplewood.
The Maplewood and South Orange Library Foundations will host “An Evening With Filmmaker Ken Burns” from 7 to 9 p.m. Burns will speak with South Orange resident and Harvard professor Khalil Gibran Muhammad about his work, including his recent film on the Vietnam War and “the interplay of politics, race and culture in our country’s history.”
The event will benefit the library foundations; tickets go on sale in November. Learn more here.
