DR. MICHAEL FABRICANT is a Professor at the Hunter College School of Social Work and Executive Officer of the Ph.D. Program in Social Welfare. He is the author of six books and numerous articles, and is currently working on two books which will be published in the next two years: Charter Schools and the Fate of Public Education (2011) and The Twilight of American Empire and the Colonization of Public Education (2012).
