Hoboken To Give Free COVID Booster Shots In Clinics All Week: Moderna, Pfizer and J&J
The CDC allows "mix and match dosing" for boosters, the city of Hoboken noted, so you can get Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson and Johnson.
HOBOKEN, NJ — The city of Hoboken — which has been offering free Pfizer booster shots to those who already got the vaccine — will now run clinics all week to also offer the Modern and Johnson & Johnson boosters, an effort to make sure people's immunity doesn't wane.
"The CDC's recommendations now allow for mix and match dosing for booster shots, meaning an individual can choose to have a different brand of booster shot than the brand of vaccine they received initially," the city noted in a release on Friday.
Beginning on Monday, Oct. 25, the city will offer all three types of booster shots through partnerships between the Hoboken Health Department and local providers, following last week’s authorization by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
