UPDATE: Maplewood Child Found After Alleged Abduction by Father

New Jersey State Police say a 2-year-old Maplewood child allegedly abducted from a daycare center by his father, was found Wednesday evening at an undisclosed location.

Authorities had issued an Amber Alert Wednesday after Altereek Dunn Jr. allegedly was taken by his father, 33-year-old Altereek Dunn Sr., who reportedly fled in a dark-colored Audi automobile.

But the state police canceled the alert after the child was located. Maplewood police Captain Paul Conlon said the child was not harmed. Charges have not yet been filed; the Department is currently working with Essex County officials to determine charges.
