1. 2026 Margate Fall Fun Fest By The Bay. Sept 26-27 (downbeachbuzz.com) — Mark your calendar for Margate's 25th Annual Fall Funfest by the Bay, returning September 26–27 along Amherst Avenue with free admission. Expect more than 110 vendors, live bands on two stages, kids' activities, parades, and a beer garden celebrating Margate's bayfront promenade. 
2. Help JFS stock its shelves with end-of-summer donations (shorelocalnews.com) — If you're cleaning out your pantry in Margate, JFS is asking for your unopened non-perishables and baby essentials to help stock its Jerome Avenue food pantry. The agency has already served thousands this year and needs end-of-summer donations to keep up with regional demand.
3. These 25 N.J. school districts spend the most per student. Is your town on the list? (nj.com subscription) — Margate City School District ranks sixth statewide for per-student spending at $56,519, well above New Jersey's $30,809 average. A new state analysis lists 25 districts with the highest costs, highlighting several Shore communities and explaining how factors like enrollment, special needs, and geography can drive up per-pupil expenses.
4. Banana is coffee's new favorite flavor (axios.com) — Banana-flavored coffee drinks are having a national moment, and one Margate City café is seeing it firsthand. A barista at Bay Buzz says their banana cold brew is this summer's top seller, reflecting a surge in banana lattes, matchas, and other creative beverages across big chains and social media.
