On
Sunday, November 17 at 1:00pm, residents, volunteers, performers and
representatives from various cultural communities in the area will gather at
Marlboro High School (Rt. 79, Marlboro, NJ) to celebrate local diversity and
share our respective traditions at the 6th Annual Marlboro
Multicultural Day. The day begins with
performances from dancers, singers, musicians, and skilled masters of tai
chi.
Following the concert, guests are invited to take a culinary and visual tour around the globe while sampling regional food, viewing cultural displays and costumes, and participating in craft activities.
“The Marlboro Multicultural Day planning committee works hard throughout the year to orchestrate a memorable event, and we expect this to be our best year yet,” said Richard Lau, chairman of the planning committee. Year after year, attendance has grown, reaching near-capacity in the Marlboro High School auditorium in recent years. This event also helps foster youth volunteerism by using the skills of Girl Scout and Marlboro Teen Advisory Council (TAC) volunteers.
