Adam Ashenfarb of Morganville Receives Congressional Award from Rush Holt
Congress established the Congressional Award in 1979 to recognize initiative, achievement, and service in young people.
U.S. Rep. Rush Holt (D-12) presented several young Monmouth County residents with the Congressional Award on Wednesday night at the Monmouth County Library.
Morganville resident Adam Ashenfarb received the award from Holt, which recognizes achievement, initiative and service.
According to a new release, "The program is non-partisan and open to all 14- to 23-year-olds. The local students all have earned Bronze, Silver and Gold Congressional Award Medals – requiring a total of 200, 400, or 800 hours of activity respectively."
