The Budget Lie

In 2024, Monmouth county utilized $34 million in surplus to balance the budget. The county is sitting on millions in surplus while people are struggling to pay for eggs and gas. A government shouldn't be a savings account for politicians, it should be a resource for the people, and while keeping a massive surplus is great for a AAA credit rating, it’s essentially over-taxed money sitting in a bank.
