Colts Neck Man Found With Illegal Gun in Deal, Police Say

A Long Branch man and a Colts Neck man were arrested in Deal last week, where police said they had a gun and hollow-point bullets.

DEAL, NJ - A Long Branch man and a Colts Neck man, ages 27 and 28, were arrested in Deal last week, where police said they were in possession of a gun and hollow-point bullets.

Paul Kulha, 28, of Colts Neck, was arrested alongside Christopher Willis, 27, of Long Branch last Wednesday, Feb. 8 in the small, extremely wealthy ocean side community of Deal: The two were stopped in their car by Deal police and officers said they found a black/grey Ruger P90 series pistol that shoots .45 ammunition. The gun was hidden under a passenger side floor mat in the car, police said.

They also had hollow-nosed bullets, police said. Because both men had been convicted for prior crimes (robbery for Willis; aggravated assault for Kulha), neither was permitted to have the gun.
