Explosive Testing At NWS Earle Oct. 16-20
The training may cause ground shaking and considerable noise during that time, Naval Weapons Station Earle warns.

COLTS NECK, NJ — Explosive demolition training will be held at Naval Weapons Station (NWS) Earle during the week of October 16, 2017. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal team at NWS Earle periodically coordinates this and other types of explosive demolition training.
The training may cause ground shaking and considerable noise during that time, the station warned. This noise may be louder and travel farther during overcast weather.
Local residents living near NWS Earle should not be alarmed if they hear detonations during the period of October 16-20. The detonations are planned for the afternoon hours, however, weather conditions may dictate scheduling them for the morning on some days.
