Fossil Hunting Event This Weekend In Marlboro
Kids who love digging in the backyard will really enjoy the chance to find real fossils
MARLBORO, NJ-- Marlboro Township Recreation is holding a fossil digging day this Saturday, Oct. 15 at the Vanderburg Soccer Complex.
Dinosaur hunters four and up (and their parents) are invited to dig for fossils in one of the most productive fossil sites on the east coast.
Dr. Paul Kovalski, Jr., an expert, and Rosemary Pascal from the Recreation Department, will lead the expedition into a local creek bed. Fossil Hunters can search for shark teeth, 500-year-old clam shells, vertebra and so much more.

Little explorers will also get the chance to learn about what New Jersey was like while it was still part of the ocean floor bed, millions of years ago.
Dinosaur hunters should wear old clothes and boots, because the expedition is expected to get wet and muddy.
