Wiping dry any liquid will prevent the grout from absorbing and staining. Most people’s mistake is pushing the dirty water from mopping their tiles right into the grout lines. A penetrating grout sealer will slow the absorption in to the grout but will not make the grout stain proof. It will help but proper cleaning is more crucial. A color seal will render grout completely non absorbent. This will make cleaning and maintaining your grout much easier. However, proper cleaning is still necessary to avoid build up in the crevices of the tile floor, the grout lines.
