iCIMS, Vonage, and First Energy Partner with Collier Youth Services to Provide over $12,000 Worth of Service

Collier Youth Services, a Monmouth County non-profit organization celebrating its 90th anniversary, is excited to have hosted iCIMS, Vonage, and First Energy Companies in its ongoing corporate partnership program designed to engage local companies with Collier’s mission and work with children. Thanks to its local partners iCIMS, Vonage, and First Energy, Collier Youth Services benefited from $12,600 worth of time and labor—funds, which Collier can put back into its programs to help even more children.

“Simple tasks around our campus have such a huge impact on our children and our ability to operate. Collier is an important, stable aspect of our children’s lives. When volunteers, who they do not know, take a day off of work to help make their campus better, it reinforces what we try to instill in them—that they are loved and their happiness means so much to others,” said Russell Gartz, Director of External Relations . “We are grateful for our corporate partners who want to make a difference in the lives of children along with us.”

“iCIMS employees are very passionate about giving back to the local community and volunteering at service events to enhance the neighborhoods we live and work in,” said Bryan Tedesco, Senior Manager of Software Development at iCIMS, the leading provider of recruitment software headquartered in Matawan, NJ. “Our team members had a great morning refurbishing picnic tables that are used by the Collier students throughout the year. We enjoyed our time learning about the Collier organization, and were happy to contribute to such a meaningful cause that helps youths in our community.”

Corporate partnerships have a financial impact our bottom line and allow our resources to be used more specifically on the programs for the children. Highlights of our recent success with corporate partners and their days of service in May and June includes:

• 13 volunteers from Vonage spend the day mulching to help beautify the grounds for our High School and Middle School graduations.
• 17 volunteers from iCIMS helped us prepare for the start of Kateri Day Camp by cleaning, painting and fixing our picnic tables for our arts and crafts area.
• 5 volunteers from First Energy helped us prepare for the start of Kateri Day Camp by cleaning up our camp office, meeting and gathering area.

Kateri Day Camp serves approximately 200 economically disadvantaged Monmouth County children each summer. Children, ages 5-13, come to camp on “Camperships” for 7 weeks from 8:30-4PM.

Located in the Wicatunk section of Marlboro Township, Collier Youth Services is situated on a 260-acre campus. Collier Youth Services relies heavily on the kindness of volunteers to assist in a variety of campus projects. The campus is a key component to the Collier programs, providing a unique environment that helps our children succeed.
