Investigations Underway Into Cyberattacks At Rutgers, FDU
Rutgers was hit by a cyberattack Friday, and Fairleigh Dickinson University was hit by a separate attack Saturday, published reports say.

Rutgers University’s computer system was hit by a cyberattack over the weekend, according to published reports.
The problems began Friday afternoon, when the school’s computer system sustained a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack, according to NJ.com and CBS New York.
The FBI is working with Rutgers on the investigation, according to WNBC and NJ.com.

NJ.com also reported that a separate cyberattack shut down internet service Saturday at the Teaneck and Florham Park campuses of Fairleigh Dickinson University.
On Monday, Rutgers University sent out a Tweet, saying its IT staff was “working around the clock to fix server and email disruptions. Thank you for your patience.”

A Rutgers spokesman told media outlets there was no evidence that any confidential information was compromised.
CBS New York reported that some Rutgers professors have postponed exams and homework due dates.
