It's time for change in the Monmouth County Government

Why Monmouth County deserves a better Government

In 2022, The office of the New Jersey State comptroller found that the Republican controlled Monmouth County commission illegally raised their own wages by $3,000 annually. The Republican Sheriff's salary also increased by over $42,000 across multiple annual pay hikes between 2016, and 2021, without the required notification, and resolution process. In 2024, Republican Commissioner Ross Licitra berated a worker by calling them a "nobody" for questioning his organization's decision to euthanize a dog.

In that same year, Republican Commissioner Ross Licitra, was alleged to have threatened to cut the throats of his employees by saying "When people are rude ... it makes me want to cut their throat." This year, Monmouth County Republican Sheriff Shaun Golden blocked a constituent for simply expressing her opinions on his official Government account. Our government here in Monmouth is not only dishonest, unopen, and unaccountable to the public, but it's also corrupt, and if we want a better Monmouth County, that starts by voting out our Republican leadership, and fortunately for us two Republican controlled Commissioner seats are up this year, as well as the surrogate's office, which is also controlled by a Republican. Monmouth, it's time for a change.
