Junior League Honors CVCJ Volunteer
volunteerism, senior care, Alzheimer's respite care, veterans, community service

Shrewsbury (November 3, 2017) – Rosalind Silletto, a volunteer with Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey, was one of twenty-one women honored by the Junior League of Monmouth County at its Women Making A Difference luncheon. The event is designed to recognize the many valuable contributions being made by women volunteers in our local community and to increase awareness of the importance of volunteering.
Rosalind was recognized for her contributions to the mission and expansion of CVCJ. She has been an extraordinary volunteer with Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey for over 7 years. The agency’s mission is to allow the homebound elderly, disabled, Veterans and Caregivers to remain independent in their homes and live their lives with dignity. After 23 years providing free services in Ocean County, in 2016, CVCJ opened its doors and access to free services in Monmouth County as well. One reason CVCJ was able to launch in Monmouth County is because of Rosalind’s dedication and hard work. Her tireless enthusiasm and optimism touch hearts and bring smiles wherever she goes. She is a tremendous ambassador for all of CVCJ’s programs, and also provides direct service to its Care Receivers. Whether she's giving someone a ride to a doctor appointment, or conducting valuable in-home assessments to register new Care Receivers, Rosalind is always eager to help wherever she is needed.

“I was honored to be among women who had achieved and given so much, and humbled to be nominated for my services to CVCJ. It was truly a memorable afternoon,” Rosalind said of the event.
Dorothea Bongiovi was on hand to congratulate each of the honorees and present a $1,000 grant to Kate Okeson and Make It Better 4 Youth, this year’s award winner, at a luncheon ceremony at the Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury on Friday, November 3, 2017.
