Marlboro Blue Going Pink For Breast Cancer

The pink addition to uniforms were donated by a local business.

MARLBORO, NJ-- In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, members of the Marlboro Police Department will wear blue and pink striped badge covers to show their support.

The badge covers were donated by My Greener Dry Cleaner, a local business owned by Victor and Lisa Joseph.

“Everyone knows someone who has been affected by breast cancer," Mayor Jonathan Hornik said. "Raising awareness is a central part in battling this devastating disease. To that end, I want to thank My Greener Dry Cleaner for joining with the Marlboro Police to raise awareness about breast cancer."

“When we were approached by Officer James Caulfield to sponsor the Marlboro PD Breast Cancer Awareness Program, we immediately jumped at the opportunity to help. This is a great cause that is close to our hearts as we have both lost our grandmothers to this terrible disease," the Joseph family said. “As parents of two daughters and for the many women in our lives, we want to help fight this disease and find a cure. With this opportunity we can support two great causes, Breast Cancer Awareness and the Marlboro Police Department for all that they do for our Community."

Police officers will wear the badge covers through Nov. 1, when Breast Cancer Awareness Month ends.
