Also, Marlboro Mayor Jon Hornik, in partnership with the Marlboro Township Council, the Police Department, PBA 196 and FOP Lodge 15, will be holding a ‘DROP IN THE BOX’ for Texas flooding victims at Marlboro Day. Please donate gift cards, in any amount, from Home Depot, Lowes, Target, or Walmart. You will find donation boxes clearly marked at both Mayor Hornik’s Football Lounge and the Police Tent. Please see the FLYER.
Gift cards are best to send at this time because, as Mayor Hornik writes:
"I thank you for your patience as Marlboro’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) contacted Texas OEM to ensure that we were sending them what would best assist their residents. At this time they do not have the manpower or the storage to ensure that that food and other items get to those in need. In addition, it is important to provide jobs and get their economy back on track and sending gift cards for them to purchase locally best serves those concerns."
