Marlboro Police Accused Of Beating Colts Neck Woman: Report
The woman allegedly needed surgery to address a broken eye socket.

MARLBORO, NJ-- Two Marlboro police officers are being accused of punching, falsely arresting and imprisoning a Colts Neck woman in a federal lawsuit, MoreMonmouthMusings reported.
Officers Donna Gonzalez and Joseph Meglio allegedly forced their way into the home of Marlene Mazur in Colts Neck while responding to a domestic dispute on January 24, 2016.
According to the lawsuit, the two officers demanded to speak to Mazur's husband, before Gonzalez pushed Mazur against the wall. Gonzalez allegedly punched Mazur in the face, breaking her eye socket, an injury that required surgery.

Mazur was charged with obstructing the administration of law and assaulting a police officer, but was not indicted by a grand jury. She is now suing the Township of Marlboro, the Marlboro Police Department, Gonzalez, Meglio, Chief Bruce Hill, and sixteen others employed by the township or police department.
Patch has contacted Mazur's lawyer, Freehold-based Thomas Mallon, Marlboro Township officials and the Marlboro Police Department for comment on the suit.
