Marlboro Twp. Man Sought Sex With Teen Boy Online, Police Charge

A Marlboro man was arrested Monday after Bayonne police said he sent sexually-explicit images to a Bayonne officer who posed as a teen.

MARLBORO, NJ — A Marlboro Township man was arrested this week after Bayonne police said he lured and sent sexually-explicit images to a Bayonne police officer online, thinking that police officer was a teenage boy.

Craig I. Kirschner, 30, of Marlboro Township, was arrested Monday, Aug. 21, according to NJ.com, which obtained the criminal complaint from the Bayonne police department.

According to police, Kirschner used Grindr to send two images of male genitalia and then arranged to meet to engage in sex. He thought he was talking to a 15-year-old boy.

He is currently in the Hudson County jail and made his first court appearance Thursday on the charges of attempted sexual assault, distributing obscene material to a minor and attempted luring. His cellphone was also seized by Bayonne police.
