Marlboro Veterans Memorial Gets a Much-Needed Cleanup from Patch

At a recent Town Council meeting, Councilman Lt. Col. Jeff Cantor asked residents to pitch in and help landscape the Veterans Memorial Garden, which sits outside .

So, Patch jumped in.

Chelsea Naso of Matawan-Aberdeen Patch and I grabbed some gardening gloves and a rake, while Cantor had fun with power tools.

The overgrown garden still needs a lot of work. Cantor took care of most of the overgrown shrubs and branches with the sharp edge of a saw, and us Patch Editors took care of the weeds covering American flags and beautiful flowers.

But the memorial still needs some love.
