Marlboro Youth Wins National Title at North American Bridge Championship

Yuqiao Zhao of Marlboro wins Baron Barclay National Youth Open Pairs event.

A youth from Marlboro led his team to win a national title at the Summer North American Bridge Championship (NABC) in Las Vegas July 17 to 27. The NABCs are held three times a year and bring together more than 5,000 bridge players from across the U.S. and Canada.

Yuqiao Zhao of Marlboro, N.J., and his partner Bi Teng of Beijing, China, (pictured left to right) won the Baron Barclay National Youth Open Pairs event at the Summer NABC. The Baron Barclay National Youth Open Pairs is open to players age 19 and under. Each winner received a $1,000 scholarship from Baron Barclay.

The 2014 Fall NABC will be held in Providence, R.I., from Nov. 27 to Dec. 7.
