Calgo Gardens hosts day-long event to assist Alzheimer’s program

Howell NJ (October 16, 2017) Clouds and mist couldn’t put a damper on the Music in the Garden event held at Calgo Gardens on Sunday, October 15. The community turned out to celebrate and support the work of Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey and its Connection Thru Music Program. Connection Thru Music matches youth with seniors living with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, creating connections through the power of music memory that build a bridge to memories and sense of self otherwise lost to the disease. Proceeds from the afternoon’s festivities totaled more than $12,000, and will go towards training additional volunteers, and matching volunteers to caregivers to receive this free in-home program.
