New playground unveiled at Colts Neck parish daycare
Long-awaited project finished after three years
COLTS NECK, New Jersey – A new playground has debuted on the grounds of The Parish of St. Mary, a Roman Catholic church that is also home to Future Generation, a state-licensed early learning center.
“This has been in the works for three years, so we are so excited,” said Adrienne Oliveros, director of the Future Generation Colts Neck Center. “We can bring our curriculum outdoors to a safe, fenced-in space.”
Recreational highlights of the new playground include outdoor musical instruments, a sandbox and play vehicles children can ride. It also features a picnic area where children will enjoy lunch in nice weather.

Future Generation operates year-round, hosting children ages 2 through pre-kindergarten during the school year as well as summer camp for youngsters ages 2 through 10. Space is still available for the summer camp program, and registration is the fall is ongoing. A variety of scheduling options are available. The Parish of St. Mary is located at One Phalanx Road in Colts Neck since 1972. The parish, which is part of the Diocese of Trenton, is led by Reverend Fr. Jeffrey E. Lee.
