In late 2024/early 2025, recordings surfaced of Monmouth County Republican Commissioner Ross Licitra berating hourly employees at the SPCA. He was recorded telling a low-wage worker "You have zero right to question anything... You’re nobody." Another employee filed a police report alleging Licitra made violent threats about "cutting throats" regarding staff insubordination. This destroys his "man of the people" image.
He is a double-dipping politician (Commissioner + SPCA Director salary of ~$132k) who abuses the little guy. Ross Licitra collects two taxpayer-funded paychecks, then tells the workers actually doing the job that they are 'nobodies.' In Monmouth County no worker is a nobody, and self entitled whiny man child government officials like Ross Licitra need to understand that, or else they need to be voted out, and for Ross' case, it's better if he gets an early retirement like he deserves
