Collier Youth Services honors champions for local youth, Bob McDaid and Karen Stackhouse, at the Celebration of Collier, Spring Lake Golf Club, Thursday, June 4th
Collier Youth Services is excited to invite the New Jersey community to its annual marquee fundraising event, the Celebration of Collier, taking place on Thursday, June 4th at 6:00 PM at Spring Lake Golf Club in Spring Lake, NJ. The event will celebrate 50 years of Kateri Day Camp, and honor Bob McDaid, CEO and Owner of iPlay America & Renaissance Properties, for his long-term support of Kateri’s mission to provide an enriching camp experience for economically disadvantaged youth, and Karen Stackhouse, Director of Kateri Day Camp, for her inspiring commitment to our campers.
Bob McDaid, recipient of the Community Impact Award, has supported Collier Youth Services for over 15 years, reflecting his commitment to helping at-risk youth reach their full potential. As the President and CEO of Renaissance Properties, Inc., he has spent more than 40 years transforming properties into over 1,200 new homes and over 1,000,000 square feet of commercial space. He played a key role in the revitalization of Metuchen, NJ, and in 2008, he recognized the potential of a dilapidated shopping center in Freehold and created iPlay America, a 160,000-square-foot family entertainment center. Since opening, it has hosted over 25,000 birthday parties and community events. Bob believes in the power of realizing potential, both personally and professionally, which drives his proud support of Collier Youth Services’ mission.
Karen Stackhouse, recipient of the Sarah Van Alen Collier Award, has played a defining role in the growth and impact of Collier Youth Services’ Kateri Day Camp. As Camp Director, she has helped shape an environment where generations of children experience belonging, confidence, and joy. As Kateri celebrates 50 years, Karen's enthusiastic leadership and commitment to excellence have helped the camp remain a place where memories are made for youth across New Jersey.
For 50 years, Kateri Day Camp has provided children with a summer experience rooted in growth, belonging, and discovery. Sitting on the Collier campus, Kateri offers outdoor activities, swimming, sports, and creative arts in a setting that celebrates nature and community. Through its campership program, hundreds of children from low-income families have been given the opportunity to spend seven weeks at camp for low or no cost, with many returning year after year to a place that feels like home. As we celebrate this milestone, we honor the generations of campers, families, staff, and community partners who have shaped the lasting impact and legacy of Kateri Day Camp.
The Celebration of Collier gala, held at the historic Spring Lake Golf Club, will feature dinner, cocktails, a 50/50 raffle, and a silent auction.
