2 Killed In Head-On Sayreville Car Crash On Halloween

Police say a Nissan was driving on Bordentown Avenue when it crossed over the double yellow line and collided head-on with a box truck:

SAYREVILLE, NJ — Two people were killed in head-on crash Tuesday afternoon in Sayreville, said Sayreville Police.

The crash happened at 4:11 p.m. on Bordentown Avenue at Waterworks Road. Police say a Nissan, carrying four people, was driving on Bordentown Avenue when it crossed over the double yellow line and collided head-on with the box truck.

Two people in the Nissan died at the scene, including the driver and the passenger seated behind the driver.

They were pronounced dead at the scene when police got there. The front passenger and rear passenger were seriously injured and were taken to a nearby hospital.

The two people in the box truck sustained minor injuries.

There are no criminal charges being filed because the Nissan driver who caused the accident is deceased, said a spokeswoman for the Middlesex County Prosecutor.
