4 Seriously Injured In Garden State Parkway Crash: NJSP
Three of the four individuals were ejected from a car on the Garden State Parkway during a Saturday morning crash, state police said.
NEW JERSEY - Four individuals were injured and three were ejected from a car on the Garden State Parkway during a Saturday single-vehicle crash, state police said.
The crash occurred around 7:10 a.m. on the Garden State Parkway northbound in the express lanes at MP 120.3 in Aberdeen, a state police spokesman told Patch.
A preliminary investigation found that a BMX X5 traveling north in the express lanes ran off the road to the left, struck a metal delineator post, re-entered the roadway, struck the right guardrail and overturned.

As a result, 3 passengers were ejected and sustained serious injuries, the spokesman said. The driver also sustained serious injuries. All were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The right express lane and the left two local lanes of the Garden State Parkway north were closed for around six hours, resulting in heavy traffic congestion, the spokesman added.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
