Aberdeen Economic Business Council Names New Member
Aberdeen Township has announced the appointment of Dr. Leonard J. Somarriba, PT, DPT, CSCS to the Aberdeen Economic Business Council (EBC).

Aberdeen Township today announced the appointment of Dr. Leonard J. Somarriba, PT, DPT, CSCS to the Aberdeen Economic Business Council (EBC).
Dr. Somarriba is a co-owner of ProFysio Physical Therapy, an outpatient physical therapy center that opened in 2013 at the Aberdeen Pavilion on Route 34. In addition to the Aberdeen location, Dr. Somarriba and his partner, Dr. John P. Scafidi, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT, operate another location in Holmdel on Route 35.
Dr. Somarriba received his Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Connecticut in 2006. He earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Montana in 2008 and did Fellowship training in manual therapy at the prestigious Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy in Woburn, MA. He has extensive training and experience in the management and treatment of orthopedic injuries and ailments, including spinal pathology, joint related dysfunction, and muscle/tendon disrepair.

The newest appointee joins current EBC members: Chairman Carmine Visone, Home Away from Home Academy; Eugene DeMarco, DeMarco’s Italian Bakery; James Dolan, Florham Realty; Bill Parness, Parness & Associates; Maxine Rescorl, Aberdeen Township Zoning Officer; David Shah, Dunkin Donuts franchisee; along with township representatives Mayor Fred Tagliarini and Township Manager Holly Reycraft.
“We are very pleased to have Dr. Somarriba become the latest successful Aberdeen business owner to be appointed to the EBC,” said Visone. “Among other things, Lenny brings tremendous experience and ideas in co-marketing with local businesses, which will be instrumental in our efforts to help Aberdeen retailers, restaurants, service providers and professionals reach the many new residents who will be coming to town as four major redevelopment projects are completed in the next few years.”
