Aberdeen Man Charged In Child Pornography Investigation
An Aberdeen man was one of 14 Monmouth County residents arrested since January of this year in an investigation by the Monmouth prosecutor.
ABERDEEN, NJ — An Aberdeen man was one of 14 Monmouth County residents arrested since January of this year in an ongoing child pornography investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor.
Men from all over Monmouth County were charged in the series of investigations led by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit and the Monmouth County Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
Yang Chen, 27, of Aberdeen Township, was arrested on April 14 and is charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child (possession of child sexual abuse materials).

The Monmouth County Prosecutor's office investigates after getting a tip from the NJ State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, operating out of the New Jersey Regional Computer Forensic Laboratory. The Monmouth prosecutor also gets cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

From the beginning of 2020 to present, approximately 550 CyberTips have resulted in a total of 77 charges of child pornography possession in Monmouth County.
