Part-time Account Clerk
The Township of Aberdeen is seeking to fill a part-time Account Clerk position (Bookkeeper) in the Finance Department. Applicant should have financial experience that includes calculations, billing and the handling of cash. Computer skills are necessary and experience is preferred. Schedule requires three to four days per week for approximately 15-25 hours per week. Some additional hours may be needed. $15.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience and skill level. Part-time Clerk
The Township of Aberdeen is seeking to fill a part-time clerical position in the Building Inspection Department. Applicant will be typing, filing and assisting in the daily operations that include the processing of building permits. Computer office skills, i.e Microsoft Office, are necessary and experience is a plus. Schedule requires three or four days per week for approximately 15-25 hours per week. Some additional hours may be needed. $15.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience and skill level. LABORER – Department of Public Works -1 position available
DEFINITION:
Under supervision, performs varied types of manual and unskilled laboring work on storm drains and associated equipment in the system, and may drive a truck in connection with laboring work; does other related duties as required.
EXAMPLES OF WORK
Digs trenches and does manual grading.
Under direction, may learn to make routine repairs to valves, fittings, pipe sections or other equipment used in the area of assignment.
Cleans sewers.
Cuts grass.
Trims hedges.
Waters lawns, flowers, and vegetable beds.
Loads and unloads trucks.
Shovels snow.
Plows snow
Shovels gravel and sand.
Mixes cement and mortar.
Places forms used in concrete work.
Performs cold patching.
Cleans up underbrush, foliage, vines, and weeds.
Cuts down trees.
Digs out stumps of trees, and digs out and destroys poisonous vines, weeds and undergrowth.
Learns to operate construction and/or maintenance equipment.
May operate a pneumatic drill.
Make repairs to street, road, using hot asphalt mixtures
May patch joints and edges of pavement with asphalt cement.
May tamp and smooth asphalt pavement.
May operate and maintain asphalt heating kettle and related public works equipment.
Collects rubbish and other refuse.
Sweeps streets and sidewalks.
Loads, lifts, and moves supplies, furniture, and equipment.
Loads debris into truck for removal.
REQUIREMENTS
Appointees will be required to have or obtain a class B commercial driver's license valid in New Jersey within 12 months of being hired.
Hours of Work
Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. or as needed in accordance with union contract.
Rate of Pay
$20.23 – $32.67 per hour based on experience
