Aberdeen Township Officials Welcome Hidden Village at VIP Event
Aberdeen Township Officials were on hand to celebrate the VIP Grand Opening of Hidden Ridge, a community of 200 luxury rental residences.
Members of the Aberdeen Township Council and Aberdeen Economic Business Council (EBC) were on hand to celebrate the VIP Grand Opening of Hidden Village, a new community of 200 luxury rental residences on Route 34 in Aberdeen.
Among the approximately 100 guests in attendance were Mayor Fred Tagliarini, Deputy Mayor Robert Swindle, Council members Greg Cannon, Connie Kelley, Joseph Martucci, and Margaret Montone; EBC members Chairman Carmine Visone, Bill Parness and Maxine Rescorl; Township Manager Holly Reycraft and other Aberdeen municipal officials.
Hosted by project partners Roger Mumford, Managing Member of HVA Development, LLC, and Clay Bonny of Heartstone Development, LLC, and Peter and Susan Passarella, the event included tours of the community’s clubhouse and a model apartment.

Located at a signalized intersection just north of the Marlboro border, portions of the terraced site are shielded from the roadway by mature trees. With apartments starting at $1,850 per month, residents can choose from home designs that range from one bedroom and one bath to two bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths with a study. Most units offer direct access garages. Residents can also enjoy a clubhouse that includes an outdoor pool, fitness center, lounging areas, a café/bar, shuffleboard area, large fireplace, covered porch, and Wi-Fi accessibility. Upon completion in Spring 2019, the two-story community will have a total of 18 buildings, plus the clubhouse.
Mumford noted that “considerable efforts were expended to utilize green, environmentally-

friendly building materials and methods to enhance indoor air quality and promote the kind of energy efficiency that drives down the cost of living.”
According to Mumford, demand for the units is strong, attracting empty-nesters as well as younger people. Fifty of the available apartments are already leased, with monthly move-ins ongoing. “Demand is such that as we build the new rental homes, they will be immediately occupied,” he said.
In his remarks at the grand opening, Mayor Tagliarini said: “Our Council had a luxury rental community in mind for this under-utilized site at the southernmost gateway to our town. Everything that Roger said he’d do with this site when he approached our Planning Board years ago has come to fruition. In fact, as we look at this beautifully appointed clubhouse, the homes that have been built so far and see how you’ve preserved many of the site’s natural features, it’s clear that Hidden Village turned out even better than what we envisioned. You and your team are to be applauded for delivering a beautiful community that will be an asset to Aberdeen for years to come.”
