Aberdeen's Cliffwood Beach Named one of NJ's Top Five Spring Hot Spots for Striped Bass by The Fisherman Magazine

Cliffwood Beach was recently named one of New Jersey's top Five Spring Hot Spots for Striped Bass by The Fisherman Magazine.

Aberdeen Township's Cliffwood Beach was recently named one of New Jersey's top Five Spring Hot spots for Striped Bass by The Fisherman Magazine's New Jersey/Delaware Bay edition.

The article appeared in the magazine's March issue, just in time for the start of the Striped Bass season which officially opened on March 1st at 12:01 a.m. The magazine noted that "The Raritan Bayshore hosts quality springtime striper action and Cliffwood Beach shines the brightest as the best on the Bayshore.

"We're honored to have received this distinction from The Fisherman Magazine," said Mayor Fred Tagliarini, who noted that anglers of all abilities and interests are drawn to the beachfront, including those who take part in The Aberdeen Township Environmental and Shade Tree Advisory Board's Family Fishing Contests held in the spring and fall."
