Active Fire in Cliffwood Beach Thursday Afternoon

Cliffwood Beach, NJ - As of 3:45 p.m., firefighters are on the scene of an active, fully-engaged house fire in Cliffwood Beach, Aberdeen Chief police John Powers told Patch.

The house fire occurred on the 900 block of Malden Drive, and was first called in at 2:25 p.m. A lone male occupant was inside the home when the fire started, but he was able to escape. The entire home is fully engulfed in flames, Powers said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Mutual aid has been requested.
