• Nalducci Strikes Out 10 as Brick Memorial Knocks off Matawan in CJG3 Tournament (shoresportsinsider.com) — Matawan’s softball team was edged 3–2 at home by Brick Memorial in the first round of the Central Jersey Group 3 state tournament, ending a late comeback bid sparked by a two-run homer. Junior pitcher Avery Nalducci struck out 10 Huskies as Brick Memorial advanced to face Northern Burlington in Thursday’s sectional quarterfinals.
