Man Shot His Wife, Then Himself in Middlesex County, Authorities Say

SAYREVILLE, NJ — A man and a woman, a married couple, died in a murder-suicide in Sayreville Friday, according to news reports and the Middlesex County Prosecutor.

Officers found the bodies of Kelly Iatauro, 46, and Christopher Iatauro, 52, at their home on Glynn Court in Sayreville on Friday, July 3, according to NJ.com.

Both were dead from gunshot wounds, the report said.

The woman was found dead inside the home. The body of her husband Chris was found in the home's backyard. It is believed he shot her and then shot himself, authorities said.

Iatauro worked as a special agent with the Department of Homeland Security, records from 2019 and 2020 show, NJ101.5 reported.

Their bodies were found at about 8 p.m. Friday. Sayreville Police were telling people on Facebook to avoid Glynn Court between Deerfield and Scarlet drives.
