Manalapan police are investigating another possible luring attempt; a man asked a teen girl if she wanted to pet his dog, police say.

Manalapan police are investigating another possible luring attempt, this time involving a man who asked a teen girl if she wanted to pet his dog.
On June 23, around 6:50 a.m., the man approached a 16-year-old girl in the Shilling Road area of town.
He had a small, beige dog in his vehicle and he asked her if she wanted to pet the animal, according to a news release from Deputy Chief Michael Fountain.

The girl ran away.
The man was driving a a light blue, four-door vehicle, with a New Jersey license plate. He was described as an Asian, with a long gray goatee. He had gray hair on the sides of his head, but was bald on top. He wore glasses and a blue short sleeve shirt.

Last month, a 15-year-old boy told police a man pulled into the driveway of a Friar Lane home, and asked him if he wanted lollipops, police said.
In May, a man tried to lure three young boys into his car in the area of Lambs Lane, police said.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Manalapan Township Police Department. Patrolman John Lightbody handled the Shilling Road incident.
