A retired New Jersey State Trooper will be a Holmdel bookstore Saturday to sign copies of his book about a Jersey Shore serial killer.
John O’Rourke will sign copies of his book “The Jersey Shore Thrill Killer” at noon Saturday at the Barnes & Noble, in The Commons at Holmdel, 2134 Route 35.
“Beachgoers usually dread riptides and rainy days, but from 1974 to 1983, a different fear gripped the New Jersey Shore: young women were disappearing. Their abductor was Richard Biegenwald, a man released for good behavior after serving seventeen years in prison for murder and spending time in a psychiatric facility,’’ according to a description of the book on the Barnes & Noble website.
