A massive search for him has been underway: Multiple State Police helicopters combed the Sayreville, Old Bridge and Aberdeen areas through the day Tuesday. Police dogs were also deployed and police ATVs searched all the wooded areas.
Misak’s sister told NJ.com her brother left home on foot without a wallet, money identification or a cell phone. He has never left home before and he has trouble speaking clearly and understanding questions, she said. He is often nervous around strangers, she said.
She said her brother likes to ride his bicycle around the areas of Ernston Road, Washington Road, Main Street and Ernston Road in Sayreville.
"Sayreville, we need your help," Sayreville Police posted to Facebook on Monday. "Jonathan left his home yesterday, (Sunday, Sept 25) around 3:30 p.m. after having an argument with a family member. Jonathan is on the autism spectrum and is high functioning. He was last seen wearing a blue Denver Broncos t-shirt with an orange logo."
