Cliffwood Beach Man Accused of Stabbing Woman

The victim was medevaced to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and is expected to recover.

An Aberdeen man is accused of stabbing a woman in his home early Sunday morning, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.

Kevin Hodge, 62, was arrested Sunday after Aberdeen Township police responded to 9-1-1 call to his home in the Cliffwood Beach section of the town at 12:50 a.m. Deputy First Assistant Prosecutor Richard Incremona of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said police discovered a woman in her 50s had suffered multiple stab wounds.

“She was medevaced to Robert Wood Johnson where she was treated and is in stable condition and expected to recover,” Incremona said in an email to Matawan-Aberdeen Patch.

Hodge was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He was remanded to Monmouth County Correctional Institution on $120,000 with no option to post 10 percent bond.

The incident was investigated and the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes and Forensic and Technical Services units.
