Deli Owner Confronts Burglary Suspect In Old Bridge

This happened at the Pick-It-Deli on Englishtown Road Nov. 20:

OLD BRIDGE, NJ — The Old Bridge Police Department is looking for information about a commercial burglary that took place in the early morning hours of Nov. 20 at Pick-It-Deli, 1320 Englishtown Road in Old Bridge.

Police say a man forced entry into the deli via the back door. Once inside, he was in the midst of gathering up various goods to steal when he was confronted by the deli owner, say police.

The man ran off. He dropped some of the burglary proceeds at the intersection of Crawford and Englishtown roads, where it is believed the suspect had a car parked or waiting.

Police say the car pictured above was the only vehicle that was observed at that time turning down Pleasant Valley Road, where another key piece of evidence was found.
